Bike Mechanic – In-House (m/f/d)
in Cologne, Full-Time
Your Role:
As an in-house Bike Mechanic you’ll be working directly on the core of what we do: the SMARTVÉLO E-Bike. You’ll test new components, provide technical feedback, and help continuously improve our bikes. Your expertise goes beyond repairs, maintenance, and fault analysis – we also count on your input for technical evaluations, wheel building, and work on electronic components. Together with your team, you ensure that every bike leaving our workshop is in top condition.
Your Responsibilities:
- You work on SMARTVÉLO E-Bikes.
- You carry out maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections (UVV) in our workshop in Cologne.
- You test new products and provide technical feedback.
- You analyze issues in hydraulic braking systems, electronics, and drive units.
- You document your work thoroughly and in a structured way.
Your Profile:
- You’ve completed training as a bicycle mechatronics technician or have comparable professional experience.
- You have strong technical skills – especially with hydraulics, electronics, and troubleshooting.
- You’ve already tested new products and given technical feedback.
- You can build a wheel from scratch and are confident in spoke alignment and truing.
- You work in a structured, reliable, and team-oriented manner.
